Another shot using a rented Canon 500mm. This particular one is an immature bald eagle coming in for a landing. Comments and critiques welcome.

Wow Jerry: I'm not normally a fan of high key images, but this one works very well for me. Your exposure on the eagle looks excellent. Great detail everywhere that it counts. Nice pose as well. Could always wish for a little less clutter in the background, but it does tell the story of where the eagle is going. I like this very much.

Nice action shot! I'd personally clean up a lot of the little branches, and work on the head and back wing a little to separate them.
At first, I couldn't find the head, as it is so similar to that back wing. Isolating each and altering levels or exposure a little would separate them.
Fine image!

I am also not a big fan of high key shots but this one does have some interesting color schemes with the eagle's plumage to make it work, way to go.

My only nit is that his head is lost within his wing. I had to actually look for it. Otherwise, nice processing.

I can only echo what the others have said, Jerry. First thing I said to myself: "Where the heck is the head?"

Another great high-key image! Nice detail and view of the 'landing gear'. Congrats on getting this.

Nice job, particularly against that bright sky, Jerry. Focus and exposure look excellent and you caught a great landing pose.

Me Likey High Key. As mentioned I would clone some of the lower branches touching the bird.
