Took this in my backyard were my wife grew some sunflowers. I goal was to tray and get as much detail as possible.
C&C welcome

Canon 5D MKII, 24-105L @ 84mm, 1/8sec, f/16, iso100, AP, partial metering, tripod used, early morning light. Removed flower from photo and put it on black background!

David:
A classical sunflower shot. Love the details, the swirls in the middle, and rim of petals at the peripheral. There are few dust spots on the petals (and hopefully not on your sensor) which may be worth cleaning up. This would also look nice with a square 2-3 pixel light yellow frame.

Dave: If detail was your goal you certainly achieved it on the larger version especially. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

The dark background really makes this pop. Excellent detail all over.

I love the straight-on look...simplicity and perfect symmetry of this bloom ...awesome! Nicely done against the black b/g. Purity!

Splendid control of the yellows, David, and just the right bg for the flower. Fine, crisp detail too - a lovely image !
