Yesterday I photographed this Bearded Reedling in it's typical environment. Taken during the 3 minutes sun light I was granted
Cheers, Hans

This is excellent. The background of this image compliments the overall image so well. Details are magnificent as is the light.

Great looking species with very complementary elements, Hans. You really nailed the techs. The perch and lighting go very well. I think a vertical composition would go very well with the pose and perch. :toast:

Great shot with great colors. I wish for a bit more room at top if you have it. If you do, possibly a vertical crop would work also.

Hans, the light and the color palette if this shot are incredible! I really love this as is, but I do find myself wondering if a different comp might look even better? Did you try a vertical? Cropping a touch off the left and the dark side of the right, but leaving the entire perch?

Thanks all for looking and commenting. Regarding the composition, there is room for a vertical crop, but personally I like the horizontal better.... Thanks for the suggestion nevertheless, appreciate it ! Cheers, Hans

For those that wanted a vertical crop, please it find attached . Problem is, that the upper part of the perch is missing. Curious what you think about it ? Cheers, Hans

Lovely light, Hans and a great composition. You used your 3 minutes very well. Either comp works for me. My personal preference is the horizontal because I like all the oof reeds in the bg.

OOH, this is so cool. I LOVE not only the bird, but the grass stem in the background that mirrors the perch. Really beautiful. :toast:

Excellent shot with the light, pose and reeds. I happen to like the horizontal image as the bird appears larger in the image plus the wonderful background. I have never heard of this bird and had to look it up. The larger image was a pleasure to view, well done.

Beautiful shot! I prefer the horizontal as well. I feel like there is a little more breathing room
