This photo was taken at the same place as the previous wolf photo using slide film and 500mm lens. Comments and suggestions welcome. Thanks, Chet

Those are some eyes....The compression artifacts are awful on the small version...the larger one is much better! I like how he is coming out of the trees...exposing for a situation like this must be terribly difficult! It would be nice if the snow had a little detail...but that is one dark coat!

The larger version definitely does this more justice, even though it is only 900px. Those bright yellow eyes contrasting with that black fur coat are stunning! You also captured him in a perfect position between the trees left and right. The only nit really is the blown snow. If this were shot with a modern DSLR io slide film you could most likely have recovered detail in the snow.

Something went wrong with the small version - it looks like it's enlarged from a smaller version. In the large version it seems that focus was on the trees on the right, and not on the eyes.

The animal is amazing, and so are the eyes. I ditto Vincent's comments about the snow though, and I would clone out that bright circular shape just above the head in the background. Hope that makes sense.

Good suggestions, already offered. I think the eye color and his dark fur make for a great contrast. I would add a touch more sharpening, just on the eyes.
