Waterlilies and revised!

Ah, summer! The first time I took my new digital (at the time) camera out in the canoe was a bit nerve wracking but I when I came across these three, I settled in and loved the rest of the trip.

Nikon D90, 70-200 lens zoomed right in.

Beautiful image of these waterlilies, Christine. I like the water level perspective and pano comp, and the light is extremely nice. Would have been even better if the lily pad did not block the reflections of the middle and right lilies, but not much you could do about that. Still very nice as is. Given the pano comp, you could crop a little more off the top and get rid of the bright leaves sticking out of the water in the ULC, and you might burn the leaves in the LLC. Thanks for sharing this very nice image.

Revised as suggested. Spot healing, I'm sure is 101 at best. Sooooo much to learn in the post processing world!

Very nice, Christine. I think you've simplified the image in the repost. The blue/green/white colors are beautiful.

Love the original...but the repost ...as cleaned up...even better. This leaves me gasping for a big pixel version..full of the subtle water images and sharp bright petals. Nice!

Christine: What a beautiful and pristine trio! Love the reflections especially. I like your revisions but the original is a major keeper IMO. Well done. >=))>

The trio of blooms is really nice and I too like the low level view. I'll be the odd person and say that I prefer the original, the repost feels too tight to me. In fact, I'd like to see just a bit more space at the bottom of the original, assuming that there's not something intruding. I would burn in the pinkish bloom/bud at the top as a way of reducing it's impact.

Hi Christine. Beautiful composition and subjects. Like the pano crop. I like the original crop, but would definitely eliminate either by cloning or using content aware, remove the offending bud and the lily pads which are past prime. Glad you are out shooting again.

Very appealing Christine. The color combination of bluish water and the flowers looks great.
