Cute little fellow - nice detail and colours, and the snowflake adds some interest.

Neat image with the snowflake. I really like the BG as well though I cant quite figure out what's going on with the perch and find it a bit distracting.

I love nuthatches! The snowflake looks so cool in this photo! To bad that one branch is covering part of his feet. I love his pose, the snowflake, and the sharpness. Really great shot!

Beautiful processing. But as much as I'm drawn to that lone snowflake, and all its cuteness, it is, IMO, distracting from the bird.
And since it is the bird's moment of fame here, I do think the lone flake should go (note all your comments so far - they all mention the cute little snowflake, and how cool it is, etc, etc). If they're doing this (as I also did), they're paying more attention to the flake than the bird.

Beautiful job on the Nuthatch and the snowflake, Douglas. I could wish the oof branch in the foreground weren't there, but otherwise it's perfect.

Very well done Douglas. I like the slightly elevated position of the nuthatch. The bird is also positioned nicely in front of a brighter area of background that works for me. :toast:
