Sunbeam
by Peter Cross
Not an original title but it will do. Out early this morning to the local nature preserve to photograph the resident deer. When I came upon this scene, I thought that it needed to be preserved. So although my setup was not the best for a landscape, the widest (98mm) seemed to be okay. I really liked this gnarly old oak and the sunbeam was just great with a focal point in front of it. The lingering mist from the American River also helped with the mood of this. Only change made was to clone out a few bright spots in the BG and to clone out an interpretive sign post for aesthetic reasons. Light sharpening for the web. Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated.
