My husband came up with the title...I would just be calling these Skeleton 1, 2, etc.

I am amazed how much variation there is in skeleton design...all on the same cactus! I am sure that part of it has to do with different sections being in various stages of decay. Here are some of my other recent posts from the same cactus:

Nibbles

Skeleton

All of these images are suffering from severe compression...I think I am having to set the quality to 6.5 and 7.

Comments, criticisms, suggestions welcome.

Love the light and design here. Would you consider doing this as a black and white? The colors aren't too appealing to me but everything else is!

I think I like this one the best, Eirini . I really like the tans and browns and the bits of yellow. The scroll work you have chosen is also very nice. Well done.!!!

I took a look at your other two photos as well and this one stands out. The form is clear and interesting an intriguing image. I wouldn't of guessed this is a cactus but then again it does matter that much, it's just a great photograph.

Amazing! My fav of the bunch, for sure. The comp is fantastic as is, but I would consider a crop off the top so that the small leaves are more scattered throughout the frame.

Fantastic abstract Eirini! My favorite of the series. The lines and light are beautiful.

Of the three this one is definitely my favorite, I too would love a black and white conversion of this. Excellent work!

This is just plain gorgeous! The pattern is great but what really makes it special IMO is the beautiful coloration. Superb work!

Eirini , out of your recent images this to me is the best of the group for aesthetics. All images have been technically well done, but I like this scene for all around viewing aspects and just a wonderful abstract too.
The compression issue you mentioned is very typical with the more detail to any image. I've found aspen trees to suffer the most on that issue for me.

Can't think of anything to say that hasn't been said before. So I'll just say it's my favorite of the series so far. Nice eye and well composed. A lot for the eye to take in.

Just a very cool detail study that makes a fine abstract. Nice comp to give it a sense of order, too. Well done.

The colors and especially the patterns of the lace are good together. There is an artist here in Flagstaff who is inlaying strips of the prickly pear skeleton into wood frames. His finished product looks quite nice.
