Nebellicht

This is a shot from last december. We got about 3 feet of snow and usually there's a trail leading to the top of Belchenfluh. But on that day there was no chance to see the trail.....so we snowshoed through almost hip-deep snow from the parking lot to Belchenfluh. On top we were surrounded by fog but every now and them the sun shone through the wall of fog and gave us some nice diffused light.

I like the coat of snow on everything and the breaking storm light. Nice mood, good comp, and a beautiful winter scene.

Bill, Wow, that is a lot of snow you got! I really like this light and those tree branches look fantastic. I'm a little undecided on the comp so I will come back and give it another look. Still a great looking winter scene...

Excellent diffused light makes this image, Bill, although the comp is quite good as well.

This is full of mood and while the composition is busy I think it works. I like the interplay of light on the ice on the branches. I bet that would be really nice at full resolution.

I like the details brought out by the snow, but overall it feels a bit busy. You handled the light quite nicely.

Beautiful lighting! I love how the snow is blanketing everything! I think I would have liked to see whatever is over to the right as well...it has a mysterious feel, makes me want to see more!

The subtle lighting is fantastic to me, Bill. I really enjoy the snow covering all the different elements, somehow putting them together in your composition.
