Oh, I love his little furry legs and feet!

I might remove a little bit from the bottom, and consider cloning out the darker snow (presumably where he walked) in the LRH corner. Also, is it my monitor, or is there a bluish cast to the overall image?

Otherwise a nice shot of this beautiful subject!

Very nice wintry ptarmigan and habitat photo. I like the dark willow branches in the background, they provide a complimentary contrast to the scene.

Sweet One Verdon!!!

Good detail in the whites, Verdon. I agree that there is a blue cast to the entire photo.

Nice, Verdon. Good detail in the bird and the dark bg makes a nice contrast. There does seem to be a lot of empty room in front of the Ptarmigan. I might take a touch off the left and maybe the top.

I link this image. The habitat is nice. It feels like he/she is walking uphill. Don't know if that was true or not. Maybe a touch of CCW rotation. There is also a blue cast to the snow/bird. Shadowed light is my guess. A quick tweak of the blue channel in a Hue/Sat adjustment layer solves the problem.

Well composed, good details and exposure Verdon.
Sure like the BG branches, they set the bird off nicely here :wavey:

Repost is great. Good exposure and love the wooded bg. But what really sets this image off is the point of view. It shows the bird's features nicely.
