Thanks for your suggestions about the crop. Too much?

Beth, I like this tighter crop better than your previous post, but you maybe should have left a little more room on the left side. I love the pink nose and toes on the possum (who knew possum's had pink toes!) and the dirt on his nose.

BTW, did you know about the NPN recommended guildeline of making 5 comments for every image that you post? There was a lengthy thread in the NPN Discussion Forum recently where it was pointed out by several newcomers that they never knew this guideline existed. It not only ensures that there will be enough comments for everyone, but making critiques will really help in your learning process.

Hello Carol: thank you for the feedback. I didn't know about the guidelines but will certainly post more as I know how helpful it is to receive comments on posts. I agree that a little more space on the left would be preferable. Thanks again.

I agree with the prior comment regarding more space on left side of frame. Overall exposue seems a bit dark. Also getting even a bit lower might have been interesting. You picked a challenging subject to try to make look good.

I agree that the crop is a bit tight. While I would have liked a bit more catchlight in the eyes, the stare he is giving you certainly portrays an animal caught in the act of stealing a meal. Overall, I rather like the shot.

I like this version better than your first post--maybe add a tad of space on the left..........................Jim

I think this is much better, but as others have said, possibly a little to close. ,I'm glad that now that great nose and face can really be seen.

My choice would have been to crop closer like this version, except to make the right edge just behind the toes of the hind foot, allowing room on the left. I think you could brighten the whole image just a little, perhaps a third of a stop.
