Here is a close portrait of the Golden snub-nose monkey we encountered in a beautiful part of China. You can see the nose of these monkeys is very peculiar.

D300, Sigma70-200@160, F4.5, 1/160. Cropped to about 15% (!). :wavey:

Nice clarity, position and sharpness. I like his thoughtful pose. Thanks for showing us this unusual monkey.

What an unusual face! I had never heard of this monkey. His fur color is spectacular. Very nice portrait; I would not have guessed it was that much of a crop. The detail is still very good. Thanks for a peek at a really different species!

Very cute fellow! And, acceptable sharpness, at least for the web, even after such a crop!

I like this image a lot! The lighting and bright edge of the fur help separate the monkey from the background. The facial expression is priceless too!.........Jim

Hello Ellen

Interesting character! Reminds me of someone?
Would like more of the guy , not so tightly cropped.

Thanks for sharing

This holds up very nicely for 15% for an effective portrait. Good posting!
