Recently shot out on the lava fields of Kalapana where the lava is still entering the Pacific Ocean. Aloha

Wow. :toast: Love the lava, and the rendering of the water. Excellent choice of exposure time. I might be tempted to add some more drama (not that this one really needs much more, but still  ) by increasing the contrast in the sky.

Crazy beautiful. I might try evening out the exposure of the top right rock ledge - looks a bit dkr than the neighboring rock. A crop of 1/2 the sky would give more attention to the lava flow which is obviously the center piece of the image. I can see why you would want the sky with the sun/moon - gives it a more mysterious atmosphere. Tough call for me on that decision. Great shot indeed :toast: :toast:

The motion in the waves and the glow in the lava are perfect. My eyes follow the coastline through the whole image and there is a nice curve there. My only critique would be that it feels slightly top heavy in order to get the moon placed properly. Great image.

I like the comp leading the eye to the far horizon, and the excellent foreground element of the fiery lava. Excellent work!

Nice work with this one, Tom. You don't see a lot of bigger landscapes from here but I think you've succeeded in balancing it well.
