Eye Popping...In or Out?

by Eirini Pajak

I thought this looked a bit like an eye...the strange thing is that it pops in or out depending on which way you look at it! It was on a horizontal plane, so one way or another is not necessarily the correct orientation.

Comments & criticisms welcome.

PS...this is dead cactus matter...scale wise I think the "eye" is about 1/4 inch or so long.

Dude, I saw a "Lurking Gator" from amongst...
It gave me a college flash back.
I think this is quite remarkable!

Best of these cactus abstracts so far, Eirini, IMO. This one is amazing. The orientation is immaterial to me. Equally outstanding either way. :toast:

I like the intricate lacework of lines. And, the eye could be that of a dragon. Nice work.

Eirini, you keep drawing my attention with your fantastic abstracts. There is an amazing kind of flow in your composition to me. I think I prefer the first version with the darker parts at the bottom, thereby anchoring the image nicely in my opinion.

Absolutely wonderful abstract! I love how these things decay over time and form such intricate skeletal structures and the patterns you found here couldn't work any better!

Fine abstract Eirini. I can't say why, but the second one really grabs me.
