Unfurling fern frond

About 1 1/2 years ago I posted a similar image in the flora gallery. That one had a black background and a slighly different pose. In going through files, I found this other version with a green background. The natural background was quite busy so I did quite a bit of "tweaking" to make it more pleasant. I'm really looking forward to seeing my ferns start their new growth this spring!

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/14 for 1/2 sec. ISO 100. Tripod mounted, natural lighting.

Outstanding, Carolyn. You can tell that the bg has been "tweaked" quite a bit, but you did a great job with it. The color is great throughout, and the shape of the fern gives it character. :toast:

This is a terrific "pose", your ferns are very well trained! The green background works really well here. I was looking for growth from my ferns today...not yet.
