As snow is already melting away in the lowlands, my wife Silvia and me escaped to the Raxalpe, a mountain at the eastern edge of the Austrian Alps. At the plateau we felt like in the depths of winter, and in the evening we found this dense forest deeply covered in snow.

Peter, Looks like you and Silvia found a winter wonderland to me! I love scenes like this. I really enjoy the feel and mood of this image.

I really like the composition, Peter. I wonder if there's a way to make the snow a bit whiter? Increase the exposure level maybe? Although it may be that you wanted to convey the darkness, in which case you succeeded nicely. I wonder what lies behind the tree on the right. That's the mark of a successful photograph.

Gorgeous wintery scene Peter. The heavy snow does speak of the depths of winter and mystery of the forest.

Love the fresh snow on the Pines, and the mood that goes along with it. Very nice indeed Peter.
