Elbow Falls

This particular scene is a bit personal for me because I live in the area and really wanted to capture it during good conditions. These falls are a hallmark for the area known as South Kananaskis in Alberta. Since they're so close to home I really want to have a nice shot in my portfolio.

I think you've accomplished your goal. Good comp, good exposure, I really like the color in the sky. Good job.

A nice scene with colorful sky. Everything seems to be a bit soft and I'm wondering if its from camera motion.

Beautiful image Vincent. The sky is very nice and SS for the water. Very nice composition. I agree with David about the softness. Very well done.

Thanks guys, I'll have a look. It was shot from a tripod though so there shouldn't be any camera motion.

Really like the composition. I actually like that it has a soft appearance.

Thanks for all the feedback. I checked it out and I think the softness was caused by a. putting a gaussian blur overlay in the clouds to make them look more "dreamy" and b. poor scaling/sharpening techniques. Does this look better? I also touched up the contrast around some of the edges. :jump:

Gorgeous, it looks unreal but inviting. I wonder was the sky processed?

Nice shot, I agree, but I suspect the 'softness' may be a result of the way this image was resized and sharpened for the web. How'd you do it, Vincent?
