Gotcha

I was out this afternoon in the park across from where I live and found this interesting tendril. It's a part of a fast growing, early season vine that is called wild cucumber by some. I thought it was really cool how it was able to bridge the gap and grab the stem. If you look closely, you'll note that the lefthand curl goes around one way and the righthand one the other. As the tendril is such a small part of the image, I decided to crop some from both the top and bottom to put it into a pano configuration. This resulted in a crop down to about 60% of the original. In a perfect world the stem on the right would be all sunlit but couldn't work it out. Still I thought it made an interesting closeup image. Comments and critiques are certainly most welcome and appreciated.

I like the way you captured the spiral against the colorful, oof bg, Peter. Good vision to see this and create an interesting image of the shapes and design.

That's one very cool corkscrew. Your picture sure has me thinking about how to occupy a frame with an interesting subject like this...wish I had a good answer.

Cool 'counter' intuitive twist Peter, interesting post.
I don't how you could ever compose as Mark says, but the presentation works as it is :wavey:
