Steam on the meadow

Yosemite National Park, with sun steaming the meadow awake in the morning just as light hit the granite cliffs opposite El Capitan.
I wanted to capture the hard, solid rock juxtaposed with the ephemeral
steam.

Canon 5d, M3, ISO 500, 47mm, f/16, 1/60 second. Tripod.

Nice shot. I quite like the way the yellowish brown of the grass works with the green of the evergreens. The fog really gives a nice "early morning" feel to the shot.

The image has a lot of nice triangles and lines. The FG grasses are a nice anchor and the fog adds interest.

Beautifully done, Kathy. The wispy morning mist compliments the peacefull scene very nicely. I also like this with a crop of the blue sky.
