Large Original Version

A very remote canyon in the heart of Wyoming during the peak of fall colors. You can almost smell the roasted sage and fall aspens in the last light, if you try ...

Photo Information:
Nikon D800E & 50mm 2 FOV stitched
2-Stop Soft GND via #Lucroit Filter System
For the NPN version I removed a fence

Pretty, Matt! I like the distinct layers here. Reds feel a tad strong to me, but i dont know, i wasnt there. Hope you got some of the creek, looks very inviting down there. Very nice overall. :wavey:

My first impression with your image was that the processing was way too garish for me. But I can't help but stare at it, and even after moving on to the next image, I felt compelled to come back to it. There is something about the contrast you have created that keeps me looking. The clouds contrasting the sky, the shadow areas in the back hills contrasting the lighter areas, plus the global darkness make this a very unusual, yet somehow, stunning image!

I really like the 3-d feel this has. Nice comp---I wish it was a tad brighter, but regardless, a beautiful scene.

This looks like Velvia without the blocked up shadows, Matt. You always put your personal style into your images, and this one is no exception. Unique and intriguing. And, the clouds are stunning in their realism. I love how the fence magically disappeared in this version. Just more art from you, Amigo! :toast:

You definately have a unique and recognizeable presentation. This one is killer! I think this is a wonderful landscape, and the sky is awesome.

Scene, light and composition look great. I like the juicy warm color, but I think the processing it is borderline for my taste. but the border was not crossed...

Love it. Stunning color and the play of light over the landscape, bringing out the forms in the far hillside, is exquisite. This is simply one gorgeous image in my opinion. Yeah, I can smell that sage.

Fabulous clouds Matt an I really like your overall comp. I would prefer it a tad lighter but that is a personal preference.

I really like this. Warm yet crisp. My personal preference would be to lighten just a bit. Love those clouds. Very nice work.
