The Valley of Monuments
by Morris McClung
This view from McClure Pass looks down through the Marble Valley in Colorado. The town of Marble is down there somewhere, and it is the place where marble was quarried to make many of our national monuments in Washington as well as many other civic buildings throughout the country.
C&C always welcome, and thanks for looking,

I'm fun'in. I connect with images like this quite well. (Given an impressive artistic history IMHO)
Your image has pre-press pop as we say. The only alteration I would do personally is make the clouds more even in WB/Hue across the board. Cool on the right, warm on the left, Even it out. Of course, another pre-press saying is "Who's that prick marking up the color alterations?" The obvious answer is " Oh that sun-of-a-bitch looked at the sun too long as a child ". So take my critique with a grain of salt.
Was all of that out loud ?

I wonder if reducing saturation in the yellow channel will open up a hint more detail and depth?
