Exposed Crocus

My crocus are blooming! Always a welcome sight that heralds the arrival of spring.

This particular crocus had a drooping petal which made it easy to see clearly into the center of the flower.

Canon Rebel T1i. 90mm macro lens. F/18 for 1/6 sec ISO 100. Tripod mounted, natural lighting plus some light from a small LED flashlight.

Very nice image Carolyn. I like the choice of the black BG, comp, nice detail,color of the flower and the center position in the frame. Well done.

This is really excellent! At first I thought you removed a petal...very cool that it was drooping for you! This really has some zing! The purple lines are well accented by your framing & really complement the stamen! The square comp works perfectly!
