This is from 2011 shot near Ennis, Texas farmlands. I tried a telephoto shot with the foreground Indian Paintbrush as my focus anchor.
Hope you enjoy and three weeks from now I will be back looking for a bumper crop of wildflowers in the same area I visit every year and posting.

Great preview, we should have a great year for wildflowers this season Rick.
I picked up a little Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM 'pancake' lens for just $149.00 on Amazon I'm hoping to try out..
Cheap but but I've only heard good things about it. Can't have enough in your arsenal :wink:

Lovely image, Rick ! Love the frame filling yellow, and the red and blue flowers have great impact.
