During a casual walk around a local area, among dense trees, I didn't notice this sight at first. I forget what got my attention; the geese squawking, observing someone else admiring the sunset, or what. Anyways, the haze really simplified the already-beautiful scene, and just at the right moment, this flock of geese flew by. I'm sure they were having an incredible flight!

Technically speaking, there are a few things I wish I could go back and re-do, but the whole image kinda caught me off gaurd. Oh well...

Love the layers here, Nathan. A very limited color palette but what a variety of tones. The geese just add to this image. Nice job seeing it and grabbing the shot.

Nathan,
BOO-HOO . . .
This this a Sweet Image, the contrast between the hazy mountains and the geese silhouettes is outstanding. The choice of a Pano crop is brilliant and the balance of the composition is perfect.
Nice Post . . . :toast:

The layers of "brown and cream" in the mountains and sky are terrific and the geese add a lot of interest into what would be an otherwise drab expanse of sky.

Love the mountain layers with their wonderful subtle colors! The dark silhouetted flock of geese adds a nice color, shape, and size contrast. Pano comp works great for this also. I could see a crop off the left side, to the first A in your name, being another possibility. Very nice work, Nathan. . . especially for a grab shot, handheld.
