Awright this is the time of year the flora gallery starts busting at the seams with great images so I dusted off the gear and shot this begonia this morning. A pretty severe crop but I think it holds up OK. Thanks for looking

Sigma 150mm Macro w/CP

Edit: Looks pretty soft after posting but I'll leave it up. Maybe I'm rusty

Hi Bruce :wavey: I always like to quote Bill " I like the abstract nature of this, and the soft color palette" I would like to add i like the detailed outer petal edge to center our attention

The warm greens and hints of pink are perfect for spring. We just had 10 inches of snow and single digit temperatures in my part of the world so it's nice to see full-on spring!

The sharpness seems ok to me, although I might have liked a little more light in the center. Still, an interesting view!

Beautifully composed, Bruce, with fine light and colour. A personal preference might be for a touch more sharpness on the white edges all round the yellow centre but this looks good in any case.

Great comp and colors, Bruce, and nice to see you working on flower abstracts. This is really nice. I think some of the edges need to be a little sharper. It's something I struggle with, too, on macros of flowers. The glow in the center of the flower is nearly electric and a good contrast with the delicate pink. Can't wait to see more of these from you!

Yes, in this image there is an abstract look but it is still natural. The delicate colors make the photo, for me. I agree with the opinion that upper borders could be more sharp. I love the photo, Bruce.
Now that you have dusted off your gear we wait for more works.
Take care.

Does seem just a touch soft, but that fits very well with the pastel colors and the gentle lines and curves. Definitely fine as presented.
