Hi Craig, this is a gorgeous image. I love the sharp detail in the feathers throughout.
Wondering if I might like a horiznotal flip better -- because I somehow prefer images that from from left to right -- I decided to try it and I do indeed like it much better that way. Not that you will or maybe the duck was in fact swimming in the right to left direction, but I like it better flipped.
Beautiful image -- I could see it in a aquatic bird book.

John, Your suggestion for a horizontal flip got my curiosity up. I don't think I had ever heard that suggestion before but sometimes the eyes can play tricks so I gave it a try. I agree with you and like the "left to right" position better then the original. Thanks so much for your suggestion and yet another way to open our eyes.

Sweet image, Craig. The flipping is interesting-I've observed the same thing. We wanted to create some crane decals to put on our travel trailer and I liked them much better after I'd flipped them so they were flying to the right. It would be interesting to know if it's cultural or innate to the species.
