White Ibis

I am back to using my Canon 100-400 as the 500mm f4 II rental has long since been returned. The 100-400 can take really sharp images, you just have to know its limitations. I visited the rookery at the Dallas Southwest Medical Center Campus today for the first time this season. Most of the early arrivals were Great Egrets, but I did manage to find this one very cooperative adult ibis.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice, Jerry. Glad you're having good results with the 100-400. Good job of getting the Ibis in the clear and an excellent job on the exposure. The angle is a bit steep, but absent getting your local utility company to give you a lift, there's not much one can do about that.

Very good detail in the larger image and the whites look good in the bright light. I like the contrast between white, red and blue sky.
