This little Red Panda lives at the Calgary Zoo. Just hanging out in a tree. If only they could speak.

Wonderful portrait Guy, I love the expression and the perfect focus for great detail of the fur.

Guy - the red pandas here are my absolute favorite residents - and you've captured this one wonderfully!

I absolutely love the Calgary Zoo. Been there many times on trips to the Parks. I have many pictures from there from film days.
You say you wish they could speak: I think that through your image, this one says a lot about its intelligence and consciousness: While one picture may be worth a thousand words, one this good speaks volumes.
I like the off-center presentation and the isolation of the subject with DoF, f/32 diffraction be damned! I also think that the diagonal of the pine branch adds a lot.
Lovely!

Good job! That's a great expression and the full face is nicely sharp. The heavy darkness in the lrc is a bit distracting. It would be worth dodging that area to let just a bit of detail show....assuming that there is some detail there.

This is an adorable picture of the Red Panda, Guy! And well taken too! Very nice comp with the slanting tree trunk, good pose of the panda, and an interesting textured and blurred background. Love the colors! And the details in the foreground and animal are very sharp. I like his facial expression. . .he does look like he is talking to you. I guess you just don't understand "Pandanese".

This is an interesting shot in a number of respects. Expression, eyes and environment all look good. The lighting situation looks difficult, but you've made it work for you.
