I posted this image previously in the Man & Nature Gallery, but it fits this week's challenge so I'm posting it again. I took this photo while on a much smaller boat off the coast of Maine.

Critiques and comments are very welcome and appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Glad you were able to catch the name of the boat in this image and the island in the background makes a nice composition

Well taken shot, Carol. The boat is placed nicely off-center in the frame with the rocky coastline visible to the right. Good colors, details, and lighting. The white and red of the boat make a nice contrast with the blue of the water and sky. At first I thought the boat was coming towards you and you were in its path. . .but then I noticed the anchor was cast. Otherwise, not a good place to be!

Nice comp with the island providing balance to the scene. Excellent exposure to show the brilliance of the white boat, too.

Beautiful colors and perspective, and I like the dynamic range in the boat. The island in the background helps the viewer create a story; like maybe the boat is about to go there.
