This house finch was a recent visitor to our backyard hummingbird feeder
here in Northern Alabama.

Good looking bird. I like the head turn with a nice catchlight. The head is very soft; this is either front focusing or more likely the POF was the middle to lower back. Also the background is noisy. What ISO setting were you using?

Don: Looks like something has gone wrong with the post processing. The saturation levels are very high and as noted, the noise that is apparent in the background is a problem. Not sure what to suggest since I don't know what you might have done in processing.

As Phile and Keith have said, you've got some problems... Maybe if you described your post-processing steps we could help you out? Or post an unprocessed version in a comment and we can see what you are starting from.

A fun image, Don. Others have commented on the technical issues. Posting the details of you processing is a real help in improving ones images.

Thanks to all for your comments.
I've posted more info, and a copy of the image before processing, other than cropping.
f/8, 1/125 sec, 300 mm. ISO800, handheld.

Thanks again,
