I love this as a Man and Nature submission because we find the lines man provides in the fence -- and the great vanishing point -- and also in the yucca in the foreground which also has that same theme, a purely natural one without the influence of mankind; of straight lines leading to a vanishing point.

It is the latter vanishing point that interests me the most as a viewer. The man-made one is merely indicative of distance spacially, whereas the natural one suggests something more temporal; viz., the leaves point backwards to their origin.

And then, my mind thinks of how that is a metaphor for how the expansion of the universe points back to its origin.

Very interesting photo, Richard. The fence creates the leading line back into the distance, but the plant stops me from going there. Instead I keep looking to the other side of the fence where there is room to roam if I were able to get there. I like it.
