Whilst shooting cherry branches I got distracted by a horse chestnut tree beginning to flower; the bg is the tree trunk.

Canon 400D, Tamron 55-200mm lens @ 200mm, 1/400 sec @ f 6.3, - 0.67 ev, ISO 400, hh.

I've always been fascinated by the newly emerging growth of plants so I enjoyed viewing this image. :smile: Lots of interesting details. . .I like the fuzzy look of the baby leaves, the peeled back casing, and the flower bud in the center. Nice comp, colors, lighting, and background. Cool find, Ian.

The thumbnail is a little underwhelming but what a surprise when this opened. Excellent details and light here. Like the warm tone of the bg trunk as well. Fabulous image :toast:
