Uttakleiv, Lofoten, Norway

Crimson glow at sunset on Uttakleiv beach. Amazing light at a most amazing place.

Thanks for having a look. Can't wait to see my film shots of this amazing place.

Taken on a Lofoten Island workshop with Ian Cameron at a stunningly beautiful place. The weather also cooperated as did the light.

I remember seeing images from Norway a few years ago by NPN photographer Jack Brauer and thinking at the time that it is a magical place. Your image here captures this magic very well. I like the composition and lighting here. Beautiful scene that makes me want to linger.

The composition is wonderful on this scene, Eva. The real plus to this capture was the excellent exposure latitude. Very impressive capture overall.

Marvellous image for me, Eva. All the elements in your composition work wonderfully together, and I especially admire the beautiful color palette.

Simply gorgeous. I gotta get myself up there soon. Curious about why the tip of the headland on the left edge is clipped off though.

Looks like a tremendous place. The smooth sculpted rock contrasts nicely with the jagged peaks. I've been thinking of hut to hut hiking in this place, and you have re-lit my fire! What time of year was this taken? The soft subdued tones are gorgeous! :toast:

Incredible image. I love all the contrasting colors and rock formations. Nice processing and presentation. Cameron's workshops all look fantastic. Approaching my retirement, I hope I can afford a couple sometime. Never been to a workshop, nor overseas. But his seem to be what attracts me most.

Fabulous image, Eva. There are so many interesting shapes and colors. I'm especially attracted to the two giant footprint pools in the foreground, but would have no problem exploring this for hours.

Outstanding image!! I love the varied shapes and colors all throughout the frame. The FG is complex, but you framed it excellently. I wonder why this image is in M&N not Landscape?

Thanks again everyone.

Navin - I placed this in M&N due to the group of buildings at the base of the mountain.

This is beautiful, almost looks like another planet. I love the colors and contrasts. The shadows on the mountains and the sky colors bouncing off the white peak. The emerald colors of the water are beautiful. Nice composition and great photography. I wish I could go there and take pictures.

Fantastic Eva, I love the colors and perspective. I feel like I'm right there in the large version. That warm light hitting the peaks in the right adds to the depth of the scene as well.

I was wondering the same thing as Navin until I noticed those buildings on the far shore. Just a quick clone away from ESS...

One of your best I think! :toast:
