Took one shot out my kitchen window before this guy took off into the woods. Did major post processing.. is it obvious? Camera settings all wrong for shooting through glass, etc. Probably exposed for the snow instead of the bird. Canon 7D, 100-400 IS lens. F5.6, 1/320Sec., -0.3 exposure comp.

Comments appreciated.

Nice "strutting" pose. It IS a little flat - I bet with some added sat, the colours would pop more.
Nice catch!

Patricia,

At this resolution whatever you did is not overly noticeble to my eyes at lest.
I agree with Sandy that a little more OOMPH would be great.

Love the setting and almost 'goose stepping' routine here Patricia, gorgeous bird! :toast:
And no, your PP is not obvious to me, great job getting this beautiful bird through glass :wavey:

I like the painterly effect of this and the pose of the pheasant is wonderful. I like this a lot! Sharon

Neat to catch him in mid-strut. I like the scene. Could be a little more sharp, but the composition overcomes this. :toast:
