What an amazing place: Painted Hills, John Day Fossil Beds NM, OR. Part of a recent trip across OR from northwest to southeast, I have to say this State has it all! This is a much-photographed place in OR, but I will love to return to the Painted Hills when I have more time to spend there. It's probably doable to stand in one place and take photos all day. Thus the need for more time to see more places in the Monument and different lighting conditions, hike around, etc. Suggest to put this on a "must see" list of places in this great PNW area.

You have captured the colors and textures very well and I really like all of the different angles. Very fine composition.

Terrific collection of shapes, lines, and colors, Catherine. I sure like contrast between the swooping lines in the fore and mid-ground and the rounded curves at the top.

You must have had some very even lighting at the time. I'm drawn to the three contrasting planes, and find them very well balanced, and complimentary of each other.

Wonderful abstract qualities Catherine. I like the earth tones, textures and lines throughout. Loos like a great place to get lost in.

Excellent, Catherine. The diagonals, texture, and the color make this simply stunning as an abstract. Love it.
