Time to reflect

Man, getting here was not an easy task. It involved a lot of balancing on wet slippery rocks, but what a nice camping spot it was! This was several hours after arriving, during sunset. Later on the colors would get even more interesting, but most of the clouds were gone by that time, making the silhouette of the forest too predominant.

Målstaallmänningens nature reserve, Sweden, May 2013, f/16, 1/30s, ISO 200, 80 mm.

C&C welcome!

Roel

Very very nice, Roel! The thumbnail doesn't do any justice to it unfortunately, so I'm happy I clicked it. I love those stripes of clouds and the silhouetted trees, although black, features very sharp details helping in this way to provide a sense of place to the image. My only suggestion is to increase a bit the brightness of the sky and the reflection, it looks a bit too dark here and you have that big stripe of black at the center that has to be balanced a bit more, in my opinion.
nontheless, a very nice picture, :toast:

That is very pretty Roel. I agree to pull the levels up a bit might make this really spark. Those clouds are really nice

The banding of the clouds are very interesting. The near perfect reflection gives this a unique abstract quality. Really nice.

Well presented abstract composition. The stripes beautifully emphasize the symmetry.

The banding in the sky and its perfect reflection are great. I'd like to see just some hints of texture in the forest to break up the large amount of darkness in the middle.

I love the symmetry and the sky is awesome. I kind of wish there was less negative space in the trees but think the gorgeous sky carries the image anyway. Nice job!

pretty cool image here Roel, the sky and reflection are stunning, the darkness of the trees almost too much, but it works for me.
