We had a shower yesterday morning, so grabbed my camera to take some shots before all the drops disappeared. This is a rhododendron flower which has just opened recently. Sony Nex 6, ISO 100, f/5.0, 1/1600, 16-50mm zoom lens, hand-held. Cropped, sharpened, and adjusted lighting in PSE. Comments and suggestions always welcome, and thanks for viewing.

I'm looking forward to our rhododendron bush blooming soon too. I believe it is also the same color as yours which I think is such a beautiful shade of pink. Good focus on the center but I wish the front edges could have been more in focus. The bright lighting helps add to the sense of the sky clearing and how refreshed everything looks after a shower.

I have rhodies and raindrops in my yard too. This photo has nice sparkle but not overly harsh light. Carolyn is right. A glance at the flower tells the story of the sky. That's good processing.

I like the image. But I'm wishing that you had included a little more at the top and bottom so that the petals weren't cut off.
