Funks Grove by moonlight. Tried to find limbs which would frame the moon. Converted to B&W

Very cool, John! I like the comp and the concept of the tree limbs framing the moon. However, I wish the branches contrasted more from the background and thus were more visible. At least on my monitor, I barely can see the tree limbs except for those across the moon. Maybe increasing the contrast would help?

This could be very nice, if the branches showed up more strongly. You might be able to pull some of that out in processing, but it more likely means taking the picture a bit earlier in the evening. The lower right rim of the moon looks jagged, not smooth, was this taken a couple of days after the full moon, when I might be seeing just a bit of the terminator?

Darn it John. This is so close to being a very artistic shot. I am wondering if the black branches show up better on blue sky. What would happen if you played with your color channels for the conversion?

I like the framing of the moon by the branches. I wonder if the branches would stand out more in the color version.
