Looking for some lunch

This coyote was wandering through the sage looking for a late morning meal. He was fun to watch as he would see something and do the typical jump up and dive in after it. This was taken in the Lamar valley. Late morning around 11:45am.

Hi John, nice to find him out in the sage where he fits in vey well (I can almost smell that sage). You handled the exposure well and the coyote is sharp. Not sure what you think, but this might be one of those situations where the photograph might be stronger if the subject wasn't looking directly down the barrel of the lens and just stuck to hunting. This is purely subjective though John, would be curious to hear what others think.

I think it is cool how you manged to compose him, timing it so he is placed in that little space of open grass in what appears to be a sea of sagebrush!
