Robin chick

This is the chick of the adult robin who's photo I posted yesterday. I was surprised to see it survived the rain and wind overnight. However, there were no other birds is sight. I realized that I could shoot from behind a fence without compromising the chick. The adult robin from yesterday was taken through the window glass. I know that 50% of new hatched song birds do not make it through their first year, but I was hoping this guy would. It disappeared later that morning. Could not get the wooden fence out of the photo.

Cute little one!
Nice pose, colours, and the dried berries add interest.
The large version is a little soft,; likely a bigger crop than your pixels can handle. You could easily back off the crop a bit , since the bird is a little tight in the frame.
Sure hope he/she made it.

Hi John. The smaller version of this image looks tack sharp, but the larger version looks a bit off. I don't know if it's a resizing thing or what, but given the sharpness of the smaller, I wouldn't expect the larger to deteriorate that way.

Nice composition and a good catch.

That's one sad looking little bird. I am sure his parents found him. Nicely captured.
