You have captured a very wintery mood and I like the way the gulls appear amidst the partially frozen lake. However, this forum is for wildlife and I recommend you repost this to the "Avian" forum.

Thanks,

Gary.

Good dynamic range of the BW conversion. The image has a CCW tilt, easily corrected. At this scale, it is hard to tell what the birds are, and your large image is the same size as this, so no help there. Keep on keepin' on; you are making progress. :wavey:

A nice winter mood to this one, Joel. I like the choice of B&W.

Sorry Gary,
I did not pay attention to which forum I posted this. I am still learning how to use my opposing thumbs so please delete this image.

I agree with Phil about the tilt. Don't see many black and whites in the avian gallery. I like it.

The snow looks underexposed to my eye. Slowing your shutter speed to increase exposure probably wouldn't have been a good choice due to the birds in flight and depending on the capabilities of your camera's sensor, increasing the ISO also might not have been wise. You probably could have afforded a stop of aperture, to f8. If you captured this in RAW, lightening the snow on the far bank would be easy. On the other hand, if the exposure is just as you like it, please disregard.
