Folks,

This one is from the weaver ant colony that I have been working with. Working with extention tubes and with backlight is no easy thing. Then I have done what I can. I would probably get back to get better behavior images. Here we see a dead black ant being carried by the ant on the left. The weaver ant on the right was not actually tearing the black ant. It was more so "" what I think is to apply some saliva"" ??

Wonderful shot, Balan. I think that ants are quite difficoult subject. Great moment!
