Vareid Beach, Lofoten, Norway

Another sunset image from Vareid. The light was good at various points during this evening and this was one of them. Taken on a Transient Light workshop with Ian Cameron.

Canon 5DM2
Canon TS-E 24mm
ISO100 0.3 sec f/16
1.5-Stop HE ND Gradient filter

Thanks for having a look.

Love the mountains on the horizon with the scattered clouds above. The detail here is about as good as it gets, especially in the large version. However, it seems a little left heavy to my eye, but it could be an illusion (or my crappy eyesight).

Beautiful image Eva. I really like the warm, golden side light. I agree with Peter that the image feels a bit heavy on the left...maybe a slight crop from the right and top would create more balance. Overall very nice image.

Eva,

As already pointed out, the details and crispness of this scene, especially in the larger version, are wonderful. Beautiful light and just a solid image; great color, contrast, sat and processing in general.

The small nit/suggestion I have isn't that the image is left heavy, but it's that brightly lit rock in the LLC that I find mildly distracting. If it were mine and considering some other feedback, I would consider burning down the rocks on the lower left, mostly the one in the corner. I don't think however that you have a crop option on that side. Just a thought.

Awesome Eva. I'm always hesitant to actually critique an image like this since I'm still trying to figure out how to shoot the grand vistas. If you haven't mastered them you're darn close. Beautiful photograph :toast:
