Beautiful Morning

At Cedar Canyon on a beautiful morning on the prairie. The sun is just starting to kiss the top of the buttes and the ever present breeze to give a cool refreshing morning with gently swaying grass. I was just sitting in the grass absorbing the peace and beauty of the prairie. As on person said, "The mountains and sea shore scream at you, but the prairie whispers and you have to stop and listen." Thanks for your comments, they are always welcome.

This image does have a peaceful feel about it, Richard. Your composition gives a good sense of scale to the image and the sun light on the bluff is a very nice element. Well done. Chet

this looks like a nice spot with great potential, richard. the image itself contains some very nice elements, but i also see some room for improvements. while i think that blurry gras and flowers do have a certain kind of appeal, in this case, placing the white flowers in the foreground for me would imply to freeze their motion with a shorter shutter speed. i could also see a nice vertical compotions with the flowers in the front and the bluff with the nice glow in the back.
as i said before, i think this is a really nice area and i hope you'll find the time to go there again and experiment a bit. i'm sure you'll bring home soem great shots.

This does have a tranquility about it. Tells the story of the Prairie locale very well, too, with the ever-present breeze. So I like the blurring of the flowers and grass because I think it is that feature that gives the mood and tells the story. The light on the bluff in the bg is sweet and adds appeal as well.

Looked like a grand morning on the prairie and you did a superb capturing the feeling of being there. Something leaves me hanging though. There does not seem to be any one compelling focal point to draw interest, perhaps if there was slightly stronger sunlight shining on the face. I really like your choice of composition.

Richard,

What I'm enjoying here now is that you've been capturing and sharing these scenes from your prairie and turf, through all the seasons. I especially like the spring/summer greens and grasses here. The large view is wonderful! I like the mix of soft grasses and flowers blowing in the breeze set against the sharpness and detail of the bg - and great timing with the light hitting the mountain top. Excellent dof here.

This brings me right there. Thanks.

I like that kiss of light on the rocks, and the Spring greens.
