Wrong Again
by Dennis Plank
I thought I wouldn't have another chance at the juvenile Barn Owls, but two of them were nice enough to choose a perch that was visible from our porch when they went to roost this morning. It was covered from most directions but fairly open toward us. I couldn't resist and first went back quite early, using iso 1600. When they hadn't moved as the sky got brighter, I went back and took some shots at iso 800. They even stayed there well into the morning. One left and the second was showing signs of moving, so I went back for a third try. they're well trained-as soon as I started back it held still and never shifted pose while I was within sight.

Very nice work on these guys.
This is an award winning shot. The feather detail, the colors, the pose, the surroundings are all wonderful.
