Nice pose and BG, the tail is somewhat soft which attracts the eye but the head and breast look quite sharp.

Another exquisite image, exceptional pose. The tail is quite soft and looking at the large version on my cheap monitor the top half of the head appears a tad soft also. It could be just my monitor if Claude didn't notice it on his

Attractive bird beautifully exposed Patrick.
The red breast positively glows.
The larger version does seem a bit lacking in sharpness. Tail is most noticable but head is not as sharp as your images usually are.

Great work with the flash Patrick - and great in all other aspects as well - besides the sharpness - that could have been better in my humble opinion.. I wonder where the focus point was ? Cheers, Hans

I like the pose and the background. Very nice. As noted some sharpness issues. Based on the details overall in the plumage, I'm guessing this is a very large crop.

Excellent flash work, Patrick and a nice clean image. The larger view looks rather soft for some reason. I'm also seeing some processing artifacts: the tail looks like it's been repaired where it crosses the branch, the hind claw is missing from the rear left toe, and the rear right clay is attached to the foot by bark instead of toe. You must have been dealing with some nasty intervening foliage or branches.

I like the dappled light on the bird. Tail tip looks as though it was added to the image. Perch and bg are real nice. Sharon
