Little Roundtop

Spending a few days in Gettysburg during the 150th anniversary of the battle was a real treat. But the highlight was standing on the boulders in Devils Den, where some of the hardest fighting occurred, and seeing this double rainbow appear over Little Roundtop.

A series of quick snaps to capture this beauty was all I had time for. Unfortunately for me, I didn't reset the camera from the sunset settings I was using in the opposite direction and everything was a bit darker than I would have liked.

Some of the "noise" in the picture was caused by the rain the started falling as I snapped.

Canon 7d, 24-105 @ 24mm, 1/60 sec, f5.6, -1 2/3 stop, monopod

C&C appreciated

A double rainbow is surefire, and the light on Little Roundtop is outstanding. I wish for another picture showing more of the hill itself, and more of the detail.

Neven,

I think the small version only makes it kind of hard to judge this. Rainbows are awesome, and a double is a real treat. I had the chance to shoot a rainbow today myself.

Perhaps some processing would improve this some.

It's too bad about the -1 2/3 stop EC, but the image impresses. Rainbows are a great glory to see, and all the more to get see and photograpn one at such an historic site.
