There have been a surprisingly large number of these juveniles hanging out in Bayou Sauvage lately, and earlier in the week I was able to get another one of them one in natural surroundings. Shot in cloudy conditions. Slight crop from right, larger image included.

Super detail on the bird. I think your water has a bit of a magenta tint to it. Nice habitat shot. Sharon

I like this one Bill,
Very good detail and pose for the subject with great environment that adds to the overall composition. The water color seems find to me for the conditions you described.
Well Done . . . :toast:

Excellent detail in both the bird and surroundings. Maybe a bit less of the OOF foliage in front would add to it.

Beautiful YCNH Bill - sweet pose, excellent detail and in a typical habitat - but you've handled that well, keeping the bird clear of major in focus BG elements - well done. I also sense a magenta cast to the image, it shows up in the water and in the plumage.

Nice detail and good comp Bill, I also see a magenta/red cast on my screen, easily removed. :toast:
