Here comes breakfast

I had the opportunity to photograph a family of Burrowing Owls on Thurs. There were 5 Juveniles at the nest. This is a photo of Mom bringing breakfast, which was quickly grabbed and taken away by one of the babies

A great head on shot. Good idea and the diagonal flight is good composition. I wish what she was bringing for breakfast were clearer, but then I probably don't need to know.

Nice image Richard, I like the banking pose and the 'meal' takes it to another level. I do find myself wishing for a little more room on the bottom - maybe just enough to balance the negative space in the ULH corner. Other than that, this a fine BIF shot - thanks for sharing.

I like that this is not just another dime-a-dozen Burrowing Owl staring into camera with wonderfully big eyes shot. Good behavioral shot and nice crisp BIF shot in one.

Your large version is very nice. Beautiful blurred bg and nice flight shot. A little more room all around if you have it would be nice, but still very nice! Sharon
