Hello Folks,

Had some time back posted a picture from the group of images I made that day.
I had worked on a very thin dof, and was in four minds if to post this or not. While my intention was to create a paint effect, the dof was too small to get the grasshopper sharp enough.

This does have a nice painterly feeling to it. I like the colors and how you used DOF to compose this shot-well done. I wonder, though, if the grasshopper doesn't detract from the overall effect you've created.

I like this a lot. The grasshopper adds to the surreal context, IMO. You have created a story instead of just a stale image.

It's an interesting image with beautiful color, and I like the nice paint effect you were after, Balan, but I am struggling with the oof grasshopper. Phil sees it differently, so it's just my subjective opinion about the oof GH.

I agree with Scott - the BG is very painterly and beautiful and the grasshopper is the necessary point of attraction in this scene...but then it would have to be sharp - no complaints about the shallow dof, it's beautiful! Just the focus is a bit off, that's all.
Grt, Ingrid.

I really like the painterly effect and the colours but I also agree with Scott and Ingrid about the oof grasshopper. It would have been better if it was sharper.
